To whom it may concern,
I am writing this letter to wholeheartedly recommend David Ungerecht for any leadership position within the field of gymnastics. As the Associate Administrator of Rowland Ballard gymnastics, David has demonstrated exceptional skills and expertise in managing the operations of the facility and delivering quality programs and training to gymnasts of all levels. As a parent, I have had the pleasure of observing David for the past two years and have seen his dedication to the sport of gymnastics, his passion for helping athletes achieve their goals, and his commitment to creating a safe and supportive training environment. In those two years, David has impacted my daughter, Audrianna, in a way in which no other coach has. Through consistent weekly individual sessions and group training, he has effectively taken her gymnastics skills and confidence from a level 3 gymnast out of the sport for a year due to Covid, to one that is currently executing level 6+ skills. Throughout this time, under his guidance, she has achieved an individual state championship, won numerous individual all-around and event placements, became a standout gymnast to her peers, and most importantly gained confidence and an immense love for a sport that she once considered stepping away from. David’s commitment to her and the achievement of her goals, his knowledge of gymnastics and ability to adjust his coaching strategy to each individual gymnast, and his enthusiasm is second to none. Beyond my daughter, he has a natural talent for working with people, whether they are young children just starting out in gymnastics or experienced athletes at the top of their game.
Under David's leadership, Rowland Ballard gymnastics has seen significant growth and success. David has played an instrumental role in developing and implementing new programs and initiatives that have attracted new members to the gym and kept existing members engaged and motivated. His ability to manage staff and resources effectively has also contributed to the gym's financial stability and overall success. David's expertise in gymnastics is matched only by his exceptional leadership qualities. He is a skilled communicator, a great listener, and an effective problem-solver. He inspires his staff and athletes to strive for excellence and to be their best selves, both in and out of the gym. David's positive attitude, dedication, and hard work have earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues, peers, athletes, gym parents, and community. In summary, I cannot recommend David Ungerecht highly enough for any leadership position within the gymnastics community.
His experience, expertise, and leadership qualities make him a valuable asset to any organization. I will forever be grateful for all he has done for my daughter and our family. If you have any further questions about David or his qualifications, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely, Samantha Hashem, Gymnastics Parent

To whom it may concern,
My son is currently enrolled as a level 5 gymnast at Alpha Omega Gymnastics. AOG offers private lessons for additional coaching, but rather than use an AOG coach for private lessons, we reach out to Coach David Ungerecht for additional private lessons. We were introduced to Coach David during early gymnastics training at Rowland Ballard before they dissolved their boys gymnastics program and were exposed to Coach David’s coaching style during additional tumbling classes for our daughter, who is on the competitive cheer team out of Rowland Ballard. We loved Coach David for our kids.
Coach David combines a vast knowledge of gymnastics and tumbling with a great, fun personality that really allows him to relate to kids. He conveys his coaching direction with a straightforward, down to earth way of explaining how to hold, shift, squeeze, or move your body to complete a skill. In addition to explaining things in an understandable way, he used a hands-on approach to put our athletes into the positions he explained to help them understand how the positions and movements felt. At the same time, he has high expectations and holds kids accountable to the things they need to be learning. These aspects are why we chose to hold private lessons with Coach David rather than the coaches at our home boys gymnastics gym.
Coach David is one of the best coaches we have been exposed to in both our gymnastics and cheer training. We tried, at every opportunity, to convince him to restart the boys gymnastics team so our son could train under him. However, his responsibilities as the facility manager of the gym did not allow him time to take on the additional responsibilities of boys gymnastics. We routinely joked with him that he only had to coach a team of one. We were serious and would have signed up in a heartbeat if he started a boys team, but knew he did not have the availability to serve as the lead of boys gymnastics. While attending my daughter's regular cheer practices, I also had the opportunity to watch Coach David train kids with a variety of age and skill levels. From the 4 year olds just getting started in basic gymnastics to the teenagers in advanced tumbling, Coach David easily connected with all of them. It is a true coach that can recognize the skill set of a wide range of skill levels and effectively coach, encourage, and sometimes coax each one to the next skill or skill level. I am happy to provide additional feedback on Coach David as needed.
Thank you,
A fan of Coach David,
Tyler Hopper
To whomsoever it may concern:
I am proud to recommend David Ungerecht, my mentor, teacher, and close friend over the past 10 plus years. Integrity and his passion that he puts into everything he does are two of his best-known qualities that I have found to be valuable assets in the long years that I have known and worked with David. His ability to handle stressful times and still be cheerful and positive is what I appreciate about him. He is great leader and I strongly believe that he is capable of completing whatever task is at hand. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact me and I will be glad to help.
Sincerely,
Tommy Holbert
You where my first boss, at the age of 16 I started my journey at becoming a tumble coach and I can truly say I’m the coach I am today because of the way you took the time to teach me and the great leadership you had. I take all of the knowledge you gave me and apply it to the way I coach today. When it comes to teaching my kids and younger staff, you have definitely left a imprint on my life that I will carry forever. Thank you for being someone I can look up too!

Letter of Attestation and Character
To Whom it may concern:
I, Elizabeth (Liz) Davis have known David Ungerecht for almost 8 years now. We first met David when my daughter was 4 years old and part of the Rowland Ballard MegaStarz gymnastics team. David took on a group of girls from the MegaStarz developmental program and helped to start their journey at the USA Gymnastics compulsory level and on to the optional levels. He was so passionate about developing these girls that what started out as a short term role evolved into something extremely special for both David and the girls. They bonded so well with him and his coaching style that these girls went on to be known around our area as a “powerhouse” compulsory team taking on multiple first place team winnings. David poured so much love and dedicated so much of his life into our girls for 5 consecutive years. I can recall a time when his wife was in labor with their first born and our girls had their state competition. David was the type of coach that FaceTimed us from the hospital to give our girls his best wishes and stayed in contact with us throughout the meet for updates. That’s just how much of a great person he is and has always been. Even after taking on a new role within Rowland Ballard he still remained connected to our girls as they were being coached by his brother and others. My daughter who is now almost 13 still admires David so much and we are forever indebted to him for setting such a strong foundation within her as she continues to pursue her gymnastics career. I thought it was worth sharing a note she wrote in her journal when she was in the 3rd grade about David (see attached). Her teacher asked the class to write something about someone that has made a positive difference in their lives. I knew without a doubt David would be that person she would choose to write about. David is such an amazing person both inside and outside the gym. He is very loved within the community and just a stand-out type of guy, father, husband, son and friend.
Regards,
Liz Davis

Kids In Action
I can't say enough about David and his passion and ability for teaching tumbling. My daughter, Aubrey Mott, started tumbling with David in summer classes when she was in elementary school and upon entering middle school started taking regular classes. He helped her get her first handspring on her own.
David has been instrumental in her development and most importantly her confidence in tumbling. She trusts his words, trusts that David will be there, and respects his advice. Without David, I'm not sure she would be where she is.
We are forever grateful for his eye for detail and his ability to speak to my daughter in a way she feels seen while being coached and he never dimmed her spirit or made her feel as if she was not capable.
Thank you David, for all that you are to these kids you help!
Thanks!

I have known David Ungerecht for over a year. He has been my daughter Riley’s gymnastics coach. From the very beginning I knew that Coach David is the “Real Deal”. I literally told several of the parents that our girls need to be in his class. I was super excited when Riley moved up to the Gold Developmental Team at RBA because I knew that she would be enrolled in a tumbling class with Coach David. David is more than a coach to these young girls, but also someone they admire and lookup to. Here recently we ran into David, his wife Carley, and son Cooper at HEB. Riley waived at David from across the store because we didn’t want to bother them, and he motioned for us to come over and they embraced in a hug. Just something small, but that meant the world to Riley. She immediately started asking me to reach out to Coach David for a private lesson. After her first private lesson with Coach David, Riley was hooked and ready for more privates. David is very approachable, has always answered my questions and made the time for me when I need a quick chat. All the gymnastics girls love when Coach David walks through class shoutingtheir name and giving each girl a big high five. During meets the Gold Developmental girls lookexclusively for Coach David to enter the room because some of them want so badly to get noticed by him to get to the next level. All the girls know that David is the “Real Deal”.I believe so much in David Ungerecht and his coaching ability that if he is looking to opencompetitive gymnastics facility, he will be successful.
Sincerely,
Dana Armstrong
